Cellulite is the dimpling of the skin on the buttocks and the thighs. It occurs due to the accumulation of excess fat cells in the skin. Your skin is connected to the underlying muscles by fibrous bands of connective tissues. These tissues pull the skin down towards the muscles to ensure the skin is taut across your muscles. As fat cells start to accumulate underneath the skin, they start to push the skin upwards.

Due to the downward pull pressure of the connective tissues, these fat cells are not evenly distributed. Additionally, over time these connective tissue bands thicken, applying more pressure on the fat cells. The bands push the fat cells outwards, creating a rumpled and dimpled terrain on the skin.

Eliminate Cellulite with QWO Cellulite Treatment

The QWO Cellulite Treatment is designed specifically to address the issue of cellulite in the buttocks. The QWO injectable, also called collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes, is made of two different enzymes that target collagen in connective tissues.

When the QWO formulation is injected into your skin, the enzymes start to break down the collagen in the bands of connective tissues. This allows your fat cells to spread evenly underneath your skin and reduce the dimpling in your skin.

How Many Treatments Should You Undergo?

QWO Cellulite Treatment is a minimally-invasive, non-surgical procedure that comprises three sessions of treatment. You will be asked to come in for the second and third sessions after a three-week interval between each session.

What Happens During the Procedure at Our Yakima Med Spa?

Our experts at Synergy MedAesthetics in Yakima start with a consultation, where we discuss the realistic results of your treatment with you. We then evaluate the number and placement of injections you require.

We ask you to lie down on the treatment table and numb the buttocks region with localized anesthesia. This makes the injections more comfortable. Then we slowly inject small quantities of the QWO formulation into the treatment site. You are asked to remain lying down for a few minutes to allow the formulation to settle.

How Long Is the Downtime?

Here’s great news! There is no downtime with the QWO Cellulite Treatment. You may experience minor tenderness and inflammation at the injection site. But these will subside in a few days. You can return to your work immediately after the procedure.

You’ll be able to notice a reduction in cellulite and skin dimpling in 2-3 weeks after the injection. As you complete subsequent treatment sessions, these results will improve tremendously.
